Up and Out, In and Down
Up and Out, In and Down
A stone brisks down a cascading green precipice,
Crumbling within its walls;
A bird suffocates in its shell.
A crane gives to the changing tides of atmosphere — through and around it,
Soaring amidst the heavens;
A man ascends beyond by excising his heart.
Where do intentions end? With you?
Salvation comes not from self-fixation,
but from being risen up and made an offering;
The self is made whole when seen beyond itself.
