Beauty: Imminent and Asunder
Beauty: Imminent and Asunder
Beauty pervades and imminently approaches as wandering gaze
The form from whence it emanates attesting delicately to God's hands,
however far from His arms may she reside.
Beauty not to possess as art, but to flitter as evermore distant,
just as the goldfinch absconds from its cruel cage--
the binds of a covetous heart bent on consumption.
In her visage, can one find God--
a wellspring untouched by the conceits of self?
Can, in her eyes, one see the reflection of a better man,
or dost flow forth from gaze mere diminishment?
