Abiding in Wisdom
Abiding in Wisdom
Wisdom is not bounded by intellectualization —
epithets of a desperately grasping mind.
It does not reside in maxims,
to whatever effect they are extended.
Neither does it manifest in obfuscation —
endless relativism and wallowing in the duress of worldly complexity.
Wisdom is revealed slowly by abiding presence,
gradually by words said and left unsaid.
It is a hand to hold as we all together traverse the vale of tears,
eyes fixed upon the light of truth apparent when we still our senses
and doggedly outpour our hearts upon the Other —
encountering, then abiding in love.
